Here are some driving tips to help you squeeze even more miles out of your Honda.

• Extra Weight - Make sure you travel light! Empty the boot of anything you do not need for the journey and leave it at home.
• Streamline - Roof racks and boxes create extra drag, increasing fuel consumption. If you do not need them, leave them at home.
• Smooth Driving - If you can keep moving be reading the road ahead, avoiding sudden acceleration and frequent braking, this will save on fuel.
• Gears - Changing gear earlier, keeping your revs down, can significantly reduce your fuel consumption.
• Handbrake - It is more efficient to use your handbrake, rather than the clutch and accelarator when you are stopped on an incline
• Idling - If you are stuck in traffic and it looks like you could be waiting for more than a couple of minutes, turn off your engine to save even more fuel.
• Air Conditioning - At low speeds, such as in and around town, it is more cost effective to open your windows on a hot day. Save your air conditioning for higher speeds, where the effect on fuel consumption is less noticable.
• Electrics - Electrical loads, such as heated windscreen or accessories plugged into your 12v power outlet, all increase fuel consumption, so make sure you turn these off when you do not need them.
