How often should I replace my Brake Fluid?
The manufacturer recommends that Brake Fluid is changed for the first time 36 months after the Registration Date, and every 2 years from then on.
What does Brake Fluid do?
Brake Fluid is responsible for transferring pressure from the brake pedal to the brake pad.
Why do I need to replace my Brake Fluid?
The brake fluid used by Audi is hygroscopic which absorbs moisture over time. This reduces the temperature at which the fluid boils which in turn reduces the amount of pressure applied from the pedal to the brake pad. This can result in increased braking distances and in extreme cases, brake failure.
*Brake fluid change has to be completed at the same time of brake pads or brake pads and discs replacement.
