The new Audi A6 The new face of Audi The Audi A6 will be very distinctive on the road. Its striking single-frame grille is highlighted by horizontal slats, high gloss black finish and chrome applications. The design of the front lights have a stronger, sharper profile due to the juxtaposition next to the single frame grille. The Tornado lineThe Audi A6 is characterised by its main bodyline, called the “tornado line”. Drawn along the line of the body the “tornado line” gives the A6 a stretched, slim and taut body, emphasising its beauty and its sport credentials. Alloy wheels A wide range of wheel options are available across the A6 range to subtly enhance the way your car looks and drive. SE models come with distinctive 17” ten spoke alloy wheels.
S line models come with sporty 18” twin spoke alloy wheels. LED rear lights The two-section, energy-saving rear LED lights give the A6 a distinctive recognition feature on the road. Stylish and efficientLED lights provide a brighter light during daytime and, thanks to innovative LED technology, they consume less energy and have a considerably longer working life than standard bulbs. Rear LED lights and brakes lights are standard on all A6 models. Bright lights Slimline, Xenon headlights not only look stunning, they project a distinctive blue-white brightness that’s twice as powerful as traditional halogen bulbs. They make driving in poor weather or at night less tiring and altogether safer. Stylish and efficient Distinctive LED daytime-running lights provide light during daytime and, thanks to innovative LED technology, they consume less energy and have a considerably longer working life than standard dipped lights. Pre senseAudi Pre Sense is a comprehensive technical package for identifying dangers well in advance and intervening appropriately. It categorises driving situations as critical or as an impending collision, with the aim of preparing the vehicle and its occupants as thoroughly as possible. Pre Sense does this by networking the various active and passive safety systems into a single, integrated safety system. Airbags Adaptive technology improves on the original airbag concept significantly. In the event of a collision, the level of impact and the position of the seat are considered and the deployment force of the airbag is adjusted accordingly. Front and side airbags for both the driver and front passenger are available as standard across all A6 models. Seat beltsIf there’s a head-on collision, the three-point inertia reel seat belts tighten to strap you to your seat more securely, limiting excessive movement caused by momentum. A choice of engines Thanks to Vorsprung durch Technik, making the choice between petrol and diesel engines isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. Engines of both fuel types offer improved power, lower emissions, sporty performance and increased efficiency. Do you prefer the high-torque pulling power of a diesel or the increased response of a petrol engine? The choice is yours. The Driver’s Information System The Driver’s Information System (DIS) is a large, clear digital display in the centre of the instrument panel. It provides a range of information – from the outside temperature to the estimated range possible with the current amount of fuel. It can also be used to display key Satellite Navigation information (if the vehicle is fitted with a navigation system). Drive in comfort Adjustments on the driver’s seat and steering wheel help you find your perfect driving position. The intuitive switches for adjusting the seats are conveniently located on the side on the seat. Travel in comfort The spacious interior is one of the best in its class and provides ample head, shoulder and legroom. The back can seat three adults in comfort and the wide seats offer excellent support for comfort on longer journeys. The new operating philosophy Intuitive, intelligent and innovative – and that was our ’old’ MMI system. The new MMI touch, which comes with the optional MMI Navigation plus system, gives drivers a new and unique ways of operating the MMI navigation system, without the need to divert their eyes from the road ahead. By integrating a touchpad into the centre console drivers can simply write characters to enter addresses, phone numbers or even choose which album to play. The MMI Touch can recognise over a million characters, including Japanese, Chinese, Cyrillic and Korean to name but a few.
