Audi at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Often billed as the largest motoring garden party in the world, the Festival of Speed was held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House. This annual hill-climb event was a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.
Featuring every form of motorcar from current Formula 1 racers and 200mph supercars to steam-powered carriages of the 19th Century the Festival of Speed attracted the heroic and the evocative from every era.
2011 saw a range of Audi racing cars heading up the famous 1.16 mile hill climb, including the Auto Union Type D, Audi R8 LMS and the latest Le Mans racer, the R18 TDI.
A number of new Audis were also on display, including the R8 GT, of which only 33 will be coming to the UK, the new A1 and the RS 3 Sportback.
For Audi drivers there was a VIP terrace, overlooking the famous hill climb and serving complementary cold drinks. By just showing their Audi keys, visitors were given a very special view of the track.
