Audi gears up for Goodwood Festival of Speed

New and heritage Audi models will be on display from 23 to 26 June

Audi returns to the Festival of Speed at the Goodwood estate in Sussex from Thursday 23 June to Sunday 26 June 2016. The new Q2, R8 V10 Spyder, all-new five-cylinder TT RS Coupé, all-new, second-generation Audi S5 Coupé, and Q7 e-tron quattro are all set to make their UK public debuts at the largest motoring garden party in the world.

On the hill climb course, Audi’s 1991 V8 DTM (with Frank Biela at the wheel to celebrate 25 years since his DTM victory), quattro S1 E2 and the R8 V10 plus will be seen, as well as the Auto Union Type C ‘Silver Arrow’, driven by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason to mark 80 years since Auto Union’s European Championship victory in 1936.

The Audi Pavilion will offer a VIP drinks terrace and a VIP trackside viewing terrace for Audi owners. The careers team will also be attending, and Audi merchandise will be available.

For those itching to get behind the wheel for themselves, the Home of quattro driving experience will allow over 1,900 guests the chance to drive an Audi Q3, Q5 or Q7 on a challenging off-road course. Passengers are also welcome. Visitors will also be able to try a virtual reality driving experience against Audi Sport racing driver Oliver Jarvis.

The Festival of Speed is a celebration of motor sport and all things automotive, featuring everything from current Formula 1 racers and 200mph supercars to steam-powered carriages of the 19th Century, and from 3000bhp top-fuel dragsters to classic rally cars. The 2016 Festival of Speed theme is ‘Full Throttle – The Endless Pursuit of Power’.

Unfortunately, tickets for Saturday and Sunday are now sold out, although there is still availability for Thursday and Friday. No tickets are available through Audi. To find out more visit the Goodwood Festival of Speed website here.
