CHARGING ON THE MOVE
With its first fully electric series production model, Audi has transformed from a classic automobile manufacturer to a system supplier for mobility. Thanks to a comprehensive range of charging options with intelligent solutions for home and on the move, customers can enjoy fully electric driving without having to compromise.
In the realistic WLTP driving cycle, the electric SUV achieves a range of more than 400 kilometres (248.5 mi)with its high-performance, high-voltage battery. That will mostly avoid the need to stop at charging stations during everyday driving. On long trips, such as when going on holiday, customers can recharge with up to 150 kW DC at fast charging stations meeting the European Combined Charging System (CCS) standard – a first for a series-production automobile.
CAMERAS NOT MIRRORS
For the first time in an Audi production car, the Audi e-tron has the option of virtual door mirrors. They replace traditional glass mirrors with cameras that stream a view of what’s behind, onto displays mounted within the front doors. Far narrower than standard mirrors, they not only reduce drag, but also help cut the already impressively low wind noise. What’s more, their view is fully adjustable. Focus can be zoomed and moved depending on driving conditions; the result is better all-round visibility and enhanced safety for car and passengers.
SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE
The Audi e-tron is 4,901 mm long, 1,935 mm wide and 1,616 mm high. Not only does the interior have an airy design, it offers plenty of space. With its long wheelbase the e-tron has ample space for five occupants along with their bags. Interior length, head room in front and rear as well as knee room in the second seat row are top-class in the full-size SUV segment. In the rear, a flat plateau – instead of the centre tunnel usually found in conventional models – creates additional space.
PROGRESSIVE ELEGANCE
The interior of the Audi e-tron stands for performance, intelligence and lightness – attributes that are manifested in an array of details. Design and technology are fused into one. A generous arc, the wraparound, envelops the cascading instrument panel with pronounced horizontal lines as far round as the sculptural door trims. It harmoniously integrates the hood above the Audi virtual cockpit, whose sleek display stands visually free in space, as well as the displays of the optional virtual exterior mirrors.
