More than 20 years’ expertise

quattro GmbH was established in 1983 as a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG. Equipped with its own development and production facilities, the company’s team of around 580 employees develops, designs and produces the fastest and most spectacular quattro-equipped cars available. The Audi RS model range.

There are currently just two RS models available: the Audi RS 6 and the Audi TT RS.

The power plant behind our fastest TT

The Audi TT RS Roadster has a 340 PS, turbocharged 2.5 litre TFSI engine. It requires just 4.6 seconds to reach 62 mph, yet such scorching performance is not at the expense of economy; the ultra-powerful five-cylinder engine managing a highly respectable 30.7 mpg.

Power on tap

TFSI turbocharging technology make a compact power plant that develops its torque – a punchy 450 Nm – from just 1,600 rpm, which is barely above idle. And it keeps delivering all the way up to 5,300 rpm. Such massive reserves of torque means blistering acceleration can be turned on like a tap in any gear - at virtually any speed - making overtaking truly effortless.

Performance under pressure

Dry-sump lubrication is an essential part of the TT RS’s engine - another innovative technology perfected on the racetrack. It allows the turbocharged engine to cope with extreme cornering forces without being starved of oil. Which means it’ll perform perfectly under lateral loads of up to 1.2 g.

Interior space

Driving a sports car shouldn’t be an exercise in contortion which is why the Audi TT RS is easy to get into and offers a spacious, roomy cabin. In the front, there is good head, shoulder and leg room. And thanks to the flat-bottomed steering room, knee room is excellent even for taller drivers.
