Bentley Manchester Supports Local Police

The streets of Knutsford are set to become safer places for residents thanks to a crime-busting, four wheel gift from Bentley Manchester. The dealership, which recently opened its state of the art showroom in Mobberley Road, has supplied a new vehicle for Cheshire Police Community Support Officers working in Knutsford.

The Mitsubishi Colt will be the first police community car of its kind to boast the famous Bentley badge and will be used by the Support Officers to patrol the town and surrounding area and ensure a higher police presence in the area. Bentley Manchester made the donation to say thank you to the town of Knutsford for making the move to the area so straight forward and seamless.

The dealership also has an extensive community programme and is committed to helping groups and organisations wherever possible throughout the year.

Bentley Manchester’s marketing manager Maya Barber said: “We work closely with the police force and we were made aware that a new vehicle for their community support officers would be a big help to them.”

Police Sergeant Jim Bolton said, “Knutsford Neighbourhood Policing Unit covers an area of 77 square miles, so transport for our P.C.S.Os is important. The car will mean they can increase their presence and visibility, especially in rural areas. It will not be used for responding to emergency calls but it will become a familiar sight as it moves around the area on a daily basis. We appreciate the support shown by Bentley Manchester."
