The Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards are a
celebration of the outstanding achievements of businesswomen across the UK.
The 33rd Vitalise Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards took place on Friday 9th October 2015 at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole. The event highlights and celebrates women’s achievements in business and society, to promote role models and to inspire women to reach their potential.
Previous Winners of the award have included Baroness Karren Brady CBE and Vice-Chairman of West Ham United FC, Hilary Devey CBE and Chief Executive and Chairman of the Pall-Ex Group, and Sarah Tremellen MBE and Owner and Founder of Bravissimo.
The event hosted by Suzanne Virdee, Nick Owen, and Penelope Viscountess Cobham CBE included a stunning fashion show and speeches from successful business women across a number of industries.
Michelle Mone an ambassador of Bentley Motors was a keynote speaker at this year’s Women of the Year awards luncheon, on 9th
October, Ms Mone, founder of the Ultimo brand and recently appointed by the government to carry out a review
into how best to encourage start-ups in areas of high unemployment - will
hammer home the importance of highlighting and celebrate women’s successes in
business and society, promoting role models and inspiring women to reach their
Ms Mone said: “There has never been a more important time to recognise the many and varied achievements of women in today’s business world. Not only is it critical that we highlight those women who are leading lights in their fields and industries, but it is also vital we create role models for the next generation of aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs.”

The awards were officially launched earlier this
year at a special reception at the House of Lords where an audience of Peers,
MPs, and high profile business figures heard about the importance of increasing
the visibility of successful women in industry and the need to encourage others
to reach their full potential.
The annual awards, which raise funds for its nominated
charities Vitalise, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer,
promote positive female role models in business circles and society as well as
encouraging women to showcase their talents to a nationwide audience.
Not forgetting Bentley Bentayga, the SUV, was on display for all the guests to have a closer look.
