The Bentley Team HTP’s Continental GT3 race car, driven by Maximilian Buhk and Vincent Abril, claimed its first victory in the fourth round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Moscow Raceway.
Starting in third place on the grid, Frenchman Abril quickly took the lead in the Continental GT3. Halfway through the 60-minute race, he handed over to German teammate Buhk, who held on to the lead and eventually passed the chequered flag claiming the team’s first win with a Bentley. The racing duo are now in second place in the drivers championship with three races remaining.
“This weekend we raced hard and capitalised on the great performance of the Bentley,” said Vincent Abril after the victory. “I did not have to look in the rear-view mirror and simply raced. This is my first win in the Blancpain Series Sprint and hopefully not my last. I am so happy about our success.”
Maximilian Buhk added: “It’s a great feeling to be back on top of the podium. At the start of the season we had a new car, we learned a lot and now the successes come. We are very happy. This is a great success for the whole team.”
