La Dolce Vita
This April, experience Italy as you’ve never seen it before.
Prepare for the drive of a lifetime, as you join us on an unforgettable journey from the shores of Lake Como to Florence, the historic capital of Tuscany and one of the jewels of the renaissance world.
It’s a journey that will take in personal shopping in Milan, along with the exhilarating spectacle of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza, one of the fastest circuits in the GT racing calendar. Enjoy VIP hospitality and access to the pits as you watch the drivers push the limits of Bentley performance, the champagne flowing as freely as the adrenaline.
After a night in Milan’s exclusive Bulgari Hotel, you’ll take the roads made famous in the legendary Mille Miglia to the historic city of Florence – with magnificent views along the way.
Whether you want to emulate the intrepid racing drivers of the Fifties or you prefer to take the scenic route, one thing is certain: by the end of
your journey, you’ll understand what the Italians truly mean when they talk about ‘the sweet life’.
Day One: The lake
Arriving at Milan airport on 22 April, you will transfer to the magical Villa d’Este on the shores
of Lake Como, where your Bentley will await.
Named the world’s best hotel by Travel & Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler and Forbes Traveler, Villa d’Este is renowned for the beauty of its gardens, the quality of its food and its extraordinary hospitality.
Afternoon tea will be served on your arrival, followed at sunset by a gourmet dinner on the terrace overlooking the lake.
Day Two: Villa Seta
After a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, you will join a guided drive along the breathtaking shores of Lake Como, before heading away from the water to enjoy lunch in the hills overlooking the lake.
Back at Villa D’Este, you will have time to change for dinner before taking a luxurious, vintage Riva speedboat to Villa Seta, where you will dine on the very finest cuisine.
Day Three: The thrill of the race
On the journey from Lake Como to the famous Autodromo di Monza, the reflective calm of the waterside gives way to the raw exhilaration of GT3 racing. As well as the race itself, you will have the opportunity to drive your car in a parade lap of the circuit – one of the fastest of its kind in the world – and join the team in the pits before the race,
for their final briefing. In the evening, you are invited to dine alongside the Bentley Works Team drivers at the Bulgari hotel, in the heart of Milan.
Day Four: Milan and the Mille Miglia
After a leisurely morning in the country’s fashion capital, during which you can enjoy pre-booked spa treatments or personal shopping appointments, the drive will continue to Florence. The group will follow roads taken in the Mille Miglia, the legendary 1950s road race through the Italian countryside. For those who really want to put their cars’ capabilities to the test, this section of the journey includes the option to take more challenging routes, such as the Futa and Raticosa passes that run through the Appenine mountains. Part of the twisting, turning SP65, they can still be experienced exactly as they were in 1955. After arrival at the historic Four Seasons hotel in Florence, dinner will be served on the former palace’s terrace, overlooking eleven acres of stunning botanic gardens.
Day Five: Florentine culture
A cultural day in Florence begins with the option of a guided tour, taking in many hidden gems as well as some of the city’s most famous treasures. The Duomo, for example, Florence’s largest and most spectacular church, features the largest brick dome ever built. The Uffizi, one of the world’s premier art galleries, is home to original works by artists including Botticelli, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Whether you opt for the company of a guide or you prefer to explore the city on your own, lunch will be served with views of the River Arno and the spectacular Ponte Vecchio bridge. Later that afternoon, an escorted drive to the historic heart of the city will be followed by dinner in the Pallazo Vecchio and a private tour of the Salone dei Cinquecento, its most exquisite chamber
Day Six: Departure
On returning to the airport, you will be flown home. If you have driven your own Bentley in Italy, it will be carefully packaged and transported back to the UK, where it will await collection from your chosen Bentley retailer.
