Design
The Flying Spur is instantly recognisable as a handcrafted car, from its cut crystal-style jewelled headlamps to the polished chrome quad oval tailpipe finishers at the rear,
You can choose from seven standard exterior paint colours or the optional extended range, plus satin and pearlescent finishes from Mulliner. In all, that gives you over 80 colours to choose from. Your selection can then be complemented by your chosen finish for the exterior detailing. Chrome is standard, while the Blackline Specification turns everything black. 20" five twin-spoke alloy wheels feature a silver-painted finish, while the Hybrid car also displays a Hybrid badge on the front wing and Hybrid treadplates. Inside, there is a choice of five standard hide interior colours. Crown Cut Walnut veneers are fitted as standard, with a range of further finishes available as options.
Performance
Choose the twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine and you can expect levels of performance that are almost unheard of in the luxury sedan world. With a power output of 542 bhp and the ability to produce 770 Nm of torque, it can propel you from zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and on to 198 mph – all to the soundtrack of its rich V8 exhaust note. Three driving modes allow you to adjust the experience between Comfort and Sport, while Bentley mode delivers the optimum balance between the two. A fourth mode, Custom, allows you to adjust the settings to your own personal preference.
For those seeking a more efficient option, the 2.9 litre V6 hybrid delivers the sense of limitless power for which Bentley is renowned – combined with the ability to drive in cities with strict emissions regulations. Together with a powerful 100 kW electric motor, the engine can power the car to a top speed of 177 mph – and thanks to the instant torque provided by its electric motor, it can reach 60 mph from a standing start in 4.1 seconds. It can even drive at speeds of up to 87 mph on electric power alone.
Technology
The car features Apple CarPlay* and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. Passengers in the rear can control features from the audio system to the heating and ventilation using the wireless Touchscreen Remote (TSR). And with the optional Bentley Rear Entertainment system, they can stream video, games and music from their mobile devices to 10.1” touchscreens affixed to the front seats.
The hybrid offers an intelligent navigation system – a feature unique among luxury hybrid cars – with Predictive E-Mode, enabling it to automatically choose which of the car’s three modes – EV, Hybrid or Hold – to employ at any point in a journey, to maximise efficiency.

The V8 can take you from zero to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds) and on to 198 mph (318 km/h). With the Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system activated, the electrically powered rollbars will automatically tighten when cornering, to maintain stability without compromising ride comfort at any time. The Bentley hybrid powertrain can propel the car from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds). It can drive serenely on electric power alone for up to 25 miles (40 km), at speeds of up to 87 mph (140 km/h), making it virtually unique among luxury hybrid cars.
Gleaming Azure badges complement an elegant front grille and bright chrome lower bumper grilles. And the closer you look, the more you see – even the fuel and oil filler caps feature a stunning jewelled finish. Despite the generous space on offer inside, the exterior is perfectly proportioned from every angle, with a near-seamless surface achieved using sleek, superformed aluminium panels.
Exquisite interior details include contrast stitching and sustainable wool trim *, lofted diamond quilting to the seats and unique three-dimensional diamond leather door trims. With a panoramic sunroof and extremely generous rear legroom, light and space are as important to the experience of sitting in the cabin as the handcrafted natural materials used to create it.
There are numerous wheels to choose from, which can be accompanied by red or black brake callipers. For a darker edge, the Blackline Specification takes all the brightware – the polished metal detailing on the outside of the car – and turns it black.
