The new BMW 1 Series Sports Hatch

With the new BMW 1 Series Sports Hatch models you can now opt for the athletic Sport specification
or the modern Urban specification.

Selectively positioned design elements in high-gloss black give the BMW 1 Series Sport a tremendously dynamic appearance, as if it is constantly raring to go and always on the move.

The brightly gleaming black kidney grille acts as the sporting calling card. The central strut at the front is reminiscent of a diffusor in motor racing. Inserts for the air intakes are highlighted by their colour scheme in high-gloss black and make the BMW 1 Series appear to sit lower on the road. A clear message of driving pleasure that is rounded off by the unmistakeable modelling of the light-alloy wheels.

Red accents, such as the graduations on the instruments and the stitching in the sport steering wheel, hint at motor racing motifs. A distinctive stripe in coral red adorns the decorative trim strip in high-gloss black. In conjunction with the sports seats, these features are a clear sign that the BMW 1 Series with Sport Specification has one target only: dynamics.

Casual, modern and creative – the metropolitan environment is the natural setting for the BMW 1 Series with the Urban Specification.

Its charisma singles it out from the crowd. One glimpse of the kidney grille is all the proof required. Set in the typically BMW chrome surround and also chromium-plated at the front, the kidney slats are finished in white on the sides. Doubts as to the uniqueness of this Specification are finally cast aside by the optional 17-inch light alloy wheels in Aspen White and Burnished Metal or the white exterior mirror caps, available on request at no extra charge. Inspiring design that attracts admirers even in places that have a lot of their own visual delights to offer.

Drivers who opt for a BMW 1 Series with the Urban Specification can expect an interior with high-quality materials and stylish colour schemes. The decorative trim strips in acrylic with a three-dimensional effect creating depth are a true innovation.

Powered by four and six cylinder engines, from the entry level 143hp 118i Convertible to the bhan-storming 306hp 135i Convertible, the open-topped 1 Series uses elements of BMW's EfficientDynamics programme to deliver high performance, economical and low-emission, roof-down motoring.

With its elegant styling and low shoulder line, the 1 Series Convertible offers a complete 360-degree view. Once the roof is open the soft-top is stowed in a concealed compartment, folding fully flat with the boot lid. This gives the car its elegant side profile while occupying minimal boot space.

The new BMW 1 Series Coupe is the sportiest 1 Series yet. Its striking profile and low stance suggest its athletic performance with low fuel consumption and emissions.
