Sunningdale Family Weekend raises £10,000 for local charity

Sytner Sunningdale raises £10,000 for local charity during Family Weekend 26^th & 27^th July 2008

We were delighted to welcome over 500 customers and friends from the local community to the Dealership for our Family Fun weekend. We organised many different events for our guests to get involved in and to provide fun for the kids and the grown ups such as the bouncy castle, caricaturist, F1 simulator, historic car display, casino tables and Chaffeur driven rides in a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Over the two days we held a very special Charity Auction where guests could bid for exciting items such as sports memorabilia, VIP tickets to shows, Spa weekends and much more. Comedian Tom O’Connor (pictured above) who is a patron of the charity was fantastic auctioneer and provided many funny stories and laughs for the bidding crowd.

All activities over the weekend and the Charity Auction raised a wonderful £10,000 for our local charity “Children with Special Needs Foundation”.

Dealership principal Rob Sims said: “It is very important to us that we are part of the local community and it is our aim to be good neighbours and provide support where it is most needed. We are very proud to support Children with Special Needs and will continue to do so in years to come. The weekend was a fantastic success and we hit the £10,000 target which I had in mind.

“There were lots of bid on items between £300 to £500, and the most popular was for Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard’s signed football boot.

“A lot of people were very keen to ride in the Rolls Royce Phantom for 20 minutes for a donation to the charity, so that also helped us to reach our target.”
