October 2007 saw the introduction of the new BMW 6 Series. The range features interior and exterior enhancements, new fuel-saving technologies and two unique-in-segment diesel models, the 635d Coupe and 635d convertible.

The new BMW 6 Series is further enhanced with a combination of subtle changes. Front and rear light clusters, using LED technology, give the cars a more contemporary appearance; and more pronounced side and rear panels enhance the athletic body for an even sportier look. Internally, new soft-touch materials, Pearl chrome trims and improved iDrive graphics make the cars feel even more luxurious.

When it comes to performance, the 635d Coupe and Convertible are powered by the BMW variable, twin turbo diesel engine to deliver a smooth, responsive drive. Optional Sports Automatic Transmission, standard on the 635d, offers an even faster gearshift and sportier feel. And EfficientDynamics, featuring fuel-saving technologies such as Brake Energy Regeneration and Optimum Shift Indicator, have been added to all models to help improve vehicle efficiency. Optional extras include Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go to make continual braking and accelerating in city traffic more comfortable.
