News brought to you by Sytner Group, specialists in new Jaguar cars and the UK's leading retailer of prestige vehicles.
The new Jaguar XJ has been launched at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London, with chat-show host Jay Leno present at the event.
It comes with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 and 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine options.
They are joined by a 470 horsepower version of the supercharged engine, while the new Jaguar diesel-powered XJ has combined economy figures of 40.1 mpg and C02 emissions of 184g/km.
Jaguar Cars managing director Mike O'Driscoll said: "The new XJ is truly beautiful, exhilarating to drive, and with its bold, enlightened approach to design, it meets the challenges of our fast-changing world. It re-imagines the ultimate sporting luxury car."
The model also features a lightweight aluminium structure, half of which is recycled material, creating a potential saving of three tonnes of C02 for each vehicle.
In other manufacturer news, the new Jaguar XFR Prototype, the car maker's fastest ever model, made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
