Supporting Sebastians Action Trust
Ascot Jaguar, Supporting Sebastian`s Action Trust
Choosing a charity to support can be a difficult process, we wanted to put more into our local area by supporting and providing help for a local charity.
Situated just on our doorstep in Ascot High Street, Sebastian`s Action Trust was the obvious choice. In June 2001 at the age of 7, Sebastian Gates was diagnosed with Wilms` Tumour, a rare form of childhood cancer. Over the next two and a half years he endured twelve operations, a stem-cell transplant, scores of chemotherapy courses and radiotherapy.
Sadly, Sebastian died on Christmas Eve 2003. In the month before he died, Sebastian launched a new drive for his `Action Fund` to purchase a holiday home by the sea that would provide somewhere exclusively for families to spend precious time together, away from hospitals and punishing treatments that govern the lives of cancer patients. Working with Jane Gates, the Director of Sebastian`s Trust and the team we look forward to helping make Sebastian`s dream a reality.
