Guy Salmon Land Rover Knutsford Apprentice to travel to Cambodia as part of Land Rover Scheme!
John Smith, Land Rover Apprentice at Guy Salmon Knutsford, is off on his travels to Cambodia on April 20th as part of the Land Rover Apprentice Scheme, MAD (Make A Difference).
This scheme selects a number of Land Rover Apprentices to take part in a program, and Jon will be part of a 35 strong team going out to Cambodia to help support a local community by helping to install over 300 solar panels to the Community Hall and allow them for the first time to experience electricity.
This will allow the village to have their own medical centre and other facilities, which would normally be many days walk away.
Land Rover will be getting the team to Cambodia, but they need to fund the equipment required to build and install the solar panels, the equipment is too expensive for the local community to afford, so Jon needs your help!
Jon climbed Snowdon in January to help fund his trip, and raised over £200 in sponsor money, and has also held a raffle in his local pub to raise more money.
The dealership is supporting Jon in his expedition and wish him the best of luck!
