Guy Salmon Land Rover Bristol Provides the Perfect Vehicle to Support Local Team in The Highland Perpetual Race in Aid of The Mitchemp Trust.

Guy Salmon Land Rover in Bristol welcomed the opportunity to provide a Land Rover Discovery 4 as a support vehicle to a local team from Lansdown Place Financial Management who took part in the Invesco Perpetual Highland Race on 23rd and 24th September 2011.

The 7-strong team cycled, hiked and canoed over 60 miles over 24 hours from east to west Scotland, in aid of The Mitchemp Trust, including an ascent of Ben Nevis and a 36 mile mountain bike race.

The team raised £4,000 by taking part in The Highland Adventure Race, helped by the use of the Land Rover Discovery 4 from Guy Salmon, which transported all seven of the team (and all of their kit!) from Bristol to Scotland and back again.

Colin Isaacs, Dealer Principal at Guy Salmon Land Rover in Bristol, said “We were delighted to help this very worthwhile cause and felt that a Land Rover Discovery 4 was the perfect support vehicle for the team.  We’re very proud of their achievement and the significant amount they raised for The Mitchemp Trust.” 

The team, which achieved an impressive 16th place out of 37 teams, and cycled, canoed and hiked for a total of 14 hours and 48 minutes, were glad of the comfortable journey provided by the spacious Land Rover Discovery 4 during the journey back home to Bristol!
