Guy Salmon Thames Ditton Host Land Rover Loyalty Golf Day

SIR MATTHEW PINSENT AND CHRIS ROBSHAW JOIN GUY SALMON THAMES DITTON FOR THEIR 2011 LAND ROVER GOLF DAY

Dealer Principal, David Edwards was delighted to host the 2011 Guy Salmon, Thames Ditton Loyalty golf day which was held on a balmy day in October. Customers who purchased vehicles during 2009/10 were invited to bring a guest and take part in the betterball Stapleford Pairs Competition. To add something a little different this year Guy Salmon used the V Par Scoring System. A member of each four ball was given a fabulous hand held device on which they entered the team’s scores. The scores were then sent down line automatically to a scoreboard in the club house and were on line for friends and colleagues to see. This spiced up the game and gave the players the opportunity to see their competitor’s scores, helping them to raise their game where necessary.

The event was held at the stunning Hampton Court Palace Golf Club and thanks to a very welcome Indian summer the 28 golfers were able to top up their tans whilst enjoying a challenging round of golf before sitting down to enjoy a delicious hot buffet lunch.
To add to the excitement quadruple Olympic gold medallist rower Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE and England/Harlequins Rugby player Chris Robshaw were on hand to join the teams and were only too pleased to help with the prize presentation. Prizes were awarded for nearest the pin, longest drive, putting competition and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for the golf pair’s competition. As well as winning golf shirts, champagne and golf accessories the top two players Tim Clark and Jon Compton won a complimentary 4-ball voucher giving them the opportunity to play a round of golf from a choice of many fantastic golf clubs, including the fabulous Loch Lomond.

Congratulations also go out to our other winners on the day, Daniel Ray and Rob Pincham, who won second prize and Bob Clarke and Gilbert Mitchell who came in third. We would like to thank all of our guests for competing and making it such a fun day for us. A huge thank you also goes to Club Clean for their hard work on the day ensuring that as an extra treat all of our golfers left with clean and shiny clubs.
