Next Generation Land Rover Previewed at Guy Salmon Sheffield!
Land Rover’s futuristic LRX has been touring the country but only a handful of dealerships have been as fortunate as Guy Salmon Land Rover in Sheffield to have this extraordinary new concept model visit their showroom.
Guy Salmon Land Rover showcased the stunning LRX on Thursday 18th September in front of around 100 guests and visitors who enjoyed a glass of champagne and canapés during the event. The car was very well received and the guests had the chance to take a sneak preview in and around the LRX, even though the actual launch date of the production model has yet to be confirmed! Land Rover believes that it could be two to three years before the LRX is ready for sale.
Mike Tyson, Managing Director of Guy Salmon Sheffield hosted the event and invited Land Rover’s Global Marketing Director, Colin Green to unveil the new concept and give a presentation alongside some of the LRX design team. Afterwards the Land Rover employees took a question and answer session before demonstrating some of the LRX’s impressive new features.
Land Rover celebrates its 60th anniversary during 2008, and the three-door LRX, with its compact size, lighter weight and sustainability-orientated technologies, undoubtedly addresses the needs of a changing world. The diesel-turbo/ hybrid car offers the potential of 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg (4.7 l/100km) on the European combined cycle.
