FARLEIGH COURT GOLF CLUB

Farleigh Court Golf Club was opened in

1997  by Fuji Country Club. It has now been

acquired by the Surrey resort of Foxhills.

The 350 acre estate on the north Surrey downs,

features a 27 hole golf course, designed by John

Jacobs Associates, the brains behind

Wentworth’s Edinburgh Course.

Over the next 24 months new investment of over £5m

 is to be made into the club and facilities including

a £½m improvement of the courses which start this

 autumn and this will be masterminded by the original

architects. This will make Farleigh a place to relax with

 the family; whether it’s on the golf course, in the brand

new destination restaurant  – Bar nineteen  or at a

fabulous event, wedding or party.

REIGATE SEA CADETS

T.S. Ark Royal is based in Hooley Lane, Redhill and is a very successful Unit with around 60 cadets.

The Sea Cadets is a nationwide voluntary youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18

 and with Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age, run by enthusiastic adult volunteers.

REDHILL FOOTBALL CLUB

Redhill FC were formed in the autumn of 1894 and within the next 20 years quickly

established themselves as the most senior club in the borough. Athenian League

champions in 1925 & 1984, the club also reached the 1st round proper of the FA Cup

 in 1957, losing to Norwich City at Carrow Road. In days gone by, the team would

regularly have 1,000 spectators at matches, but social changes and a move from their

Memorial Park ground to Kiln Brow two miles south saw the club decline in the

1980's & 90's.  However the 21st century has seen a new enthusiasm at the club.

Redhill now compete in the Sussex County League, but promotion to the Ryman League

 remains a high priority. The club is always friendly, the team are always entertaining,

 and new fans are always welcome!

BLETCHINGLEY BOWLING CLUB

 Was founded in 1929 and welcomes people of all ages wishing to play bowls, whether a complete beginner for whom coaching is available, or an experienced player.  Everyone is welcome - just turn-up in flat soled shoes
