Lamborghini Grand Drive: Scotland 8th -10th April 2016.
A group of Lamborghini Birmingham owners met at the showroom for freshly made Crepes prior to their convoy to join over 30 Lamborghini owners in Glasgow for the Lamborghini UK Tour 2016. A Journey of a lifetime on the Lamborghini UK Tour in Scotland.
Customers spent the first night at the beautiful Cameron House Hotel, with an evening BBQ in The Boat House, overlooking Loch Lomond.
The following morning all 30 Lamborghini’s were parked up outside Cameron House, ready for a day of fun driving around Loch Lomond admiring the beautiful scenic route, catching a glimpse of the Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe.
Our first coffee stop was not your normal coffee stop. We had homemade shortbread in the grand Chinese drawing room in Taymouth Castle.
Taymouth Castle has been the recent subject of various restoration projects, having laid in decay since the 1970's. Still only partly restored, it will open as a luxury hotel and golf course. Guests then had a tour of the Castle before leaving again for the second part of the drive. After leaving Taymouth Castle we all headed to our next destination, again driving through some beautiful roads in Dunkeld
Next stop was lunch at Murthly Castle, a private home of the 14th Laird of Murthly, Thomas Steuart Forthringham. Where all 30 Lamborghini’s were parked up in front of the gardens.
There was also the opportunity to view the chapel which was opened to us and the sunken gardens filled with rhododendrons.
Lunch was served in the Music room of the Castle, and we were given a brief history of the castle.
After lunch we then headed for our final stop of the day, Edinburgh Castle.
The Convoy stayed together until we got to Edinburgh Castle, where all the Lamborghini’s were parked up outside on the Esplanade, the first time such an event has been allowed to do so. It was definitely a treat for all the locals & tourists in the area. Leaving all the cars outside Edinburgh Castle, we all checked into the Balmoral Hotel for our final night and Gala dinner which took place in the Castle itself. Guests were all surprised by the performance of the Scott’s Guard to top the evening. It definitely was an unforgettable experience for all our guests.
