Lexus Great British Bike Ride 2010
Sytner Duo takes part in the Lexus Great British Bike Ride
The 2010 Lexus Great British Bike ride began on the 1st of September, with 150 riders setting off from Land’s End with the aim of riding into the grounds at Twickenham Stadium just four days later. The reason for such a gruelling challenge was to raise money for Help for Heroes, the Rugby Players’ Benevolent Fund and the RFU Injured Players Foundation.
Two of those riders were Sytner Lexus Franchise Director, Rob Frewer and Martin Moore, Aftersales Manager at Lexus Leicester. After 4 very long days and the most punishing 350 miles from Lands End to Twickenham, they finally reached their destination around lunchtime on Saturday. The training was demanding and time consuming and with considerable dedication, effort and commitment needed before they even got to the start.
And they got to the finish too (still smiling) and the total raised by all involved was a terrific £89,000 for the three charities.
