The Lexus Motability Scheme

In the UK, over 1.9 million disabled people receive the Higher Rate Motability Component of Disability Living Allowance and over 15,000 receive the War Pensioners' Motability Supplement.

Currently, some 500,000 disabled people have chosen to pay their allowances to the Motability Scheme to meet the cost of having a vehicle, powered wheelchair or scooter, through contract hire or hire purchase schemes. Since being set up by the Government in 1977, over 2 million vehicles have been provided through the Motability Scheme. Today the scheme purchases over 9% of all new cars, powered wheelchairs and scooters sold in the UK, via a national network of some 4,500 Motability dealers.

Lexus Motability Contract Hire is available on certain new Lexus IS and CT models only.
