A Fire Rescue Lesson With Lexus Leicester

On Friday 11th May 2012, a dedicated team of trained Fire Fighters from the Beaumont Leys Fire and Rescue Service in Leicester, arrived in a convoy of gleaming red engines ready for a lesson…….. the Lexus way!

Sadly we hear many cases of horrific accidents occurring on a daily basis, where drivers have been found in their vehicles unable to exit due to serious injury and obstruction. In cases such as these it becomes necessary to dismantle the vehicles in order to release the casualty in the safest possible way. Of course at Lexus we would hope that with our vehicles advanced safety features and proud 5 Star NCAP rating, that you would never find yourself in a situation needing this level of assistance, however should you, these officers have now been given the information on how to help in the best possible way.

Skilled Lexus Leicester Technician Richard Hillier spent the afternoon showing the officers around our Hybrid vehicles, providing demonstrations on dismantling the vehicles if the situation ever caused for it. Richard shared his advanced knowledge of the parts and dynamic components of a Lexus & demonstrating the best and safest ways to work with a Lexus Hybrid.

The Fire and Rescue team risk their lives on a daily basis to help others and we feel honoured to have helped them with our knowledge of vehicle builds to hopefully save more lives in the future.
