On Thursday 3rd November we held our showroom launch of the New 2017 Quattroporte, Maserati’s latest interpretation of a luxury saloon with race-bred engineering and Made-in-Italy craftsmanship.
We were also delighted to have on display the spectacular Maserati 250F along with a very fine display of beautiful classic Quattroporte, including two Series 1’s, a Series 3, 4 & 5. (Sadly there is only 1 Series 2 in the UK and this is on loan to the Isle of Mann Motor Museum.)
The evening event also saw the launch of “Maserati, the Family Silver” a major new two-volume history of Maserati. The book is the result of fourteen years of research by the acclaimed automotive historian Nigel Trow, who attended the event along with guest of honour, 1964 F1 World Champion John Surtees CBE, one of only two remaining drivers to have won a World Championship Grand Prix in a Maserati-powered GP car. The event also coincided with the anniversary of John’s victory in the 1966 Mexican Grand Prix driving a Cooper T81 powered by a V12 Maserati engine.
