McLaren Manchester tour the Isle of Man!

And they took the new 720S

McLaren Manchester have taken their first tour over to the Isle of Man, supporting the team at Super Car Driver. A phenomenal tour with amazing people and fabulous supercars, taking on the mountain roads, enjoying a bit of heritage and socialising with like-minded people along the way.

Day 1

The supercars docked in Douglas on the morning of the 3rd July, where we then took coastal roads heading out to the northern tip of the island before a photo shoot by the sea. After heading back to the hotel for a briefing by the Isle of Man traffic Sergeant with regards the do’s and don’ts for the group , guests enjoyed a lovely dinner with the chance to unwind and get to know each other.

Day 2

After breakfast, we’ll headed out to the Isle of Man's most famous feature, the TT course. We will do 2-4 laps of the course in the morning so that you’ll get a feel for the roads around the island,  before making our way to the Isle of Man Transport Museum for an quick tour and lunch.

Despite the mountain road being pretty epic, this wasn't the place to settle any differences - therefore 20 from the group of 26 took to battling it out on the outdoor Jurby Karting circuit.

We all gathered in the evening at the coastal town of Peel for dinner at The Boatyard restaurant, followed by a leisurely drive back up the West coast with the sun setting over the Irish Sea with stop-off at a scenic point for a photo shoot.

Day 3

We continued our journey on some new roads along the south coast of the island, taking a short drive up to Port Erin and then the rest of the day was taken at leisure to do some shopping, take a ride on the Isle of Man Steam Railway or to head to the TT Course to enjoy the roads again.

The sun by this time had also graced the island with its presence and the mountain's road could be enjoyed with dry tarmac, or the chance to explore some of the other areas of this spectacular island.

Day 4

After enjoying some breakfast at the hotel and leisurely time at Douglas, it was time for the ferry home.

With thanks to Jonty and Matt at SCD for putting together such a great itinerary, as well as capturing amazing videos and photographs along the way!
