Mercedes Benz of Swindon kicks off year of support with £1000 donation to Prospect Hospice
Last week Prospect Hospice in Wroughton welcomed Mike Sands, Dealer Principal, and Heather Phillips, Divisional Marketing Manager, from Mercedes Benz of Swindon, who brought a generous donation of £1000 towards the Hospice’s funds.
The money was raised in November last year at a fashion show hosted at Mercedes-Benz’s showroom, which highlighted the new Valisere range of lingerie by locally-based Triumph, and was attended by more than 500 people.
The £1000 was raised for Prospect through the evening’s luxury Christmas raffle. The presentation of the cheque marked the start of a year of support from the dealership for the local Hospice, with a major fundraising initiative currently being finalised between both parties. “The whole team at Mercedes-Benz of Swindon wanted to support Prospect Hospice as our charity for 2008, and we are now working closely with chief executive Vicki Morrey and fundraising manager Rebecca Jordan towards a high-profile start to the campaign in the Spring.” Prospect’s Vicki Morrey added: “We’re highly appreciative of this generous donation towards our funds through the fashion show raffle, and very pleased and excited that Mercedes-Benz of Swindon have chosen Prospect Hospice as their charity of the year. We look forward to working closely with Mike and the team to ensure a mutually-beneficial partnership during 2008.”
