Mercedes-Benz of Newbury pyjama party

There was certainly nothing sleepy about Mercedes-Benz of Newbury's fund-raising for Children in Need this year.

Staff from the London Road retailer marked the occaision by donning pyjamas for the day and were delighted to stage their very own 'costume drama' as part of the fun for customers.

They were joined by Miss Helen Watson, the star of the recent Seasonal Sauce production at the town's Watermill Theatre. The actress showed her support by popping into the showroom in her full stage outfit as part of the ongoing business partnership that Mercedes-Benz of Newbury has established with the theatre.

As part of the retailer's Children in Need activity, staffed baked cakes and cookies for customers to purchase and a raffle was also held.

Receptionist Rachel Mullins, who organised the event, said: "Seeing members of our sales team greet people and go for test drives in their pyjamas made quite a sight. Not only did our pyjama party raise plenty of smiles among customers but it also raised £120 for Children in Need".
