Hero’s Welcome for Paralympic Champion, Laurence Whiteley.

Paralaympic champion Laurence Whiteley, received a hero’s welcome when he returned to the Teesside club where he learnt his sport. And we were more than happy to be part of the event!

He struck gold in Rio last month with his partner Lauren Rowles, winning the mixed trunk and arm double sculls rowing.

After being approached by Paul Stiller, of Stillers Transport – a member of the Tees Rowing Club, Mercedes-Benz of Teesside were asked to provide transport for the Gold Medalist, and thought nothing was more appropriate than our stunning Matte Black G 63.

Laurence and his family were wowed as the vehicle arrived to pick them up from their home in Northallerton on Sunday morning. Chauffering them to his return, onlookers cheered as the vehicle pulled up outside the Tees Rowing Club where Laurence was greeted by his former coach, Greg Beswick.

Well done Laurence, a true Hero!
