Mercedes-Benz of Teesside take on 'Ride for Liam'

Staff at Mercedes-Benz of Teesside are supporting a local family during an incredibly difficult time by sponsoring, and taking part in a 35 mile bike ride later this month.

Little Liam was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease last year. Tay-Sachs is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder. It causes a progressive deterioration of nerve cells and of mental and physical abilities that begins around 7 months and usually results in death by the age of four.

With no known cure or treatment, the Adept Cycling Team and Mercedes-Benz of Teesside will 'Ride for Liam' to raise as much money as possible to support Liam’s family with the purchase of specialist equipment, and to keep their family life as normal as possible.

The 35 mile bike ride will take place on 21st February, starting from The Myton Pub at Ingleby Barwick at 9.30am and finishing in Thornaby Cricket Club for tea/coffee and homemade cakes.
