Mercedes-Benz of Swindon held their golf day at Bowood at the end of May with 84 competitors. This is part of the Mercedes Trophy golf tournament which is the largest amateur competition in the world, where customers from all over the world compete to win a place for their country to play at St Andrew's in Scotland. The day went well with lots of smiles and stories about players mixed performance on the day in brilliant sunshine.
Mike Fellows, Managing Director said, " This is a fantastic event and we are delighted to be participating in the Mercedes trophy again. We have had a number of winners in recent years who have qualified to play at St Andrew's - the home of golf, so I hope our 2015 winners will play well at the next round at St Georges Hill in July. The Mercedes Trophy will be special this year at St Andrew's, as it is hosting The Open this summer and it is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz who play an active part in this popular sport. I was especially pleased with the generosity of our guests as we raised £750 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance - our nominated charity for 2015."
