Mercedes-Benz of Swindon show their support for NSPCC

Meredes-Benz of Swindon help support Team Cirlce in the UK Challenge . . .

Sytner were please to help support TEAM Circle in the UK Challenge, an inter-company adventure race on Exmoor that took place in mid June 2011. The UK Challenge, formerly called the Microsoft Challenge, involves more than 700 competitors and over 70 big household name companies. The race tests strategy, fitness and problem solving skills. Many of the challenges involve navigating by canoe, bicycle and on foot. Events can be in the daylight or in the dark. The pace is relentless over 4nights and 3 days. Circle has put together a team of eight senior partners from Circle Bath – a number of who are customers.

An important part of the UK Challenge event is to raise money for the NSPCC. The 2011 teams collectively raised more than £340,000 with the help of Circle and Sytner through our Swindon, Bath and Weston-Super-Mare dealerships.

Mike Fellows, Managing Director, said “we were asked to help the team with their transport and we were delighted to help out with two vehicles for the Circle team. The are raising money for a great cause. It was a gruelling challenge in awful weather but the team battled through with a credible result and new friendships along the way. ”

The event will be televised on Channel 4 on the 31^st of July.
