Come fly with us! Sytner Canary Wharf MINI Balloon Race for Macmillan Cancer Research
8th March 2011.
To the amazement of many City Bankers, Sytner Canary Wharf MINI today launched 500 green balloons into the air in the middle of Canary Wharf’s financial district in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
On hand to bring a bit of glamour to the event was Jeff Brazier, star of ITV’s “Dancing on Ice”, who pulled the release string.
To enter the competition, customers purchased a balloon for £2.00 and the balloon that is found to have travelled the furthest will win a MINI for a weekend and a short UK seaside break to Brighton, Bournemouth or Blackpool. It’s early days but one balloon has already been found in Bury St Edmunds, over 80 miles away!
Sytner Canary Wharf MINI has raised over £1,500 which the dealership has committed to matching.
Sytner Canary Wharf MINI is committed to supporting local charities and causes and is delighted to help Macmillan Cancer Support. Cancer affects so many people and we hope that our crazy balloon event will go some way to assisting them and their families.
