The first two years of your Warranty
All new SEAT vehicles purchased from an authorised SEAT dealer in the United Kingdom qualify for a three-year vehicle warranty consisting of a two-year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty and a third year warranty with a 60,000 miles limitation.
Should a defect in manufacture or workmanship occur with your vehicle during the warranty period, a member of the SEAT authorised service network (whether or not they were the original supplying dealer) will carry out any remedial work that is required under the warranty free of charge.
The only preconditions are:
Any part that is replaced becomes the property of SEAT. The replaced parts are covered for the unexpired period of the warranty.
Normal wear and tear service items are excluded from the warranty cover.
Routine maintenance and servicing is not covered by the warranty. Incidental or consequential losses such as hotel charges, car hire, and loss of personal effects or income are not recoverable under the terms of the warranty.
Tyres are subject to the warranty applied by the tyre manufacturer and claims for these should be addressed through an authorised agent of the relevant manufacturer.
If you have modified the vehicle by the addition of accessories or other equipment, you may be charged for the removal of such equipment if so required to affect a repair.
The warranty is not affected by any change of ownership of the vehicle.
The third year of your Warranty
After the first two years of warranty your vehicle will be covered by a third year SEAT warranty if:
The vehicle has not exceeded 60,000 miles.
The vehicle was imported by SEAT UK and supplied through the SEAT UK authorised dealer network.
The warranty will terminate at the end of the third year from the date of the original registration or at 60,000 miles, whichever is reached first.
Should the mileage exceed 60,000 within the first two years, the two-year manufacturer's warranty will still be valid, but you will not automatically be entitled to a third year of warranty.
You can purchase a further warranty for additional years and higher mileage to provide extended cover once the three-year warranty has expired. However this additional warranty must be purchased before the mileage reaches 60,000.

If a defect should occur on your vehicle during its warranty period, please contact SEAT Huddersfield service outlet and make an arrangement to have the defect resolved as soon as possible.
Anti Perforation Warranty
All current SEAT vehicles are fully protected during the manufacturing process against corrosion attacking the internal cavities of the bodywork. This warranty protects against perforation due to rust penetration from within the internal cavities of the vehicle to an external surface for 12 years from the date of first registration (six years for Alhambra models).
In the unlikely event of such a defect occurring within the warranty period a member of the SEAT authorised network will carry out the required repairs free of charge, whether or not they sold the vehicle to you.
The only preconditions are:
You must report the defect to a member of the SEAT authorised network as soon as you discover it. This must, of course, be within the warranty period.
The perforation must not have been caused originally by damage, neglect, insufficient care or maintenance, or by external rusting.
The area giving cause for complaint must not have been previously repaired to a lower level of anti perforation protection.
- A member of the SEAT authorised network must be advised about any rusting immediately.
All repairs will be carried out promptly in accordance with the manufacturer's technical guidelines, using only approved parts and materials in order to maintain the original level of anti-corrosion protection.
