iQ wins Green Car of the Year 2010!

Toyota iQ

The Environmental Transport Association (ETA) has announced that the Toyota iQ has been awarded Green Car of the year 2010. The ETA examined over 5000 cars and compared their power, emissions, fuel efficiency and the amount of noise they produce to create a definitive guide to buying the greenest car.

Andrew Davis, director at the Environmental Transport Association said "with the price of petrol at record levels and greater understanding about the threat to the environment there has never been a more important time to make fuel efficiency a deciding factor when choosing a car."

The Toyota iQ comes with two trim levels standard and iQ2 and both are well equipped for the cars size. The entry Toyota iQ comes with 15in alloys, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, air conditioning and a six speaker audio system. The Q2 then adds high gloss alloys, front fog lights automatic headlights rain sensing wipers, smart entry and keyless go system and climate control. Running costs are so low, the manual Toyota iQ is in the free road tax band, economy is excellent the 1.0 engine returning an impressive 65mpg.

The Toyota iQ isn’t just a car, it is an ingenious transport solution and lifestyle statement now with the added award of Green Car of the Year.
