Toyota Win a Motability Supplier Award 2009

Toyota have been awarded the accolade of "Manufacturer Partner of the Year", up to 10,000 units, at the recent Motability awards.

Setting standards for excellence and sharing best practice, the Supplier Awards take place each year and recognise the manufacturers, dealer groups, individual car dealers and aftersales specialists, as well as key suppliers to the Motability Scheme who all deliver service to the organisations' half million customers every day.

The award was presented to Jon Williams, Commercial Director Toyota GB, by the BBC Newsreader, Huw Edwards at a recent ceremony.

Quoting directly from Motability's citation for the award in full:

"The world's largest car manufacturer has shown a commitment to competitive pricing on the Motability Scheme through 2008 and ongoing support for customers through the Toyota dealer network.

An excellent year of growth as seen a 47% increase in Toyota registrations during 2008. The launch of the iQ alongside New Avensis in 2008 added a new dimension to Toyota's line-up of popular dynamic cars available on the Motability Scheme. Furthermore, with the introduction of new lower CO2 engines, Optimal Drive technology and MultiDrive transmissions, Toyota has shown its commitment to leading the way in reducing CO2 emissions.

Equally important, Toyota further demonstrated its commitment to Motability through dedicated efforts to improve dealer performance and encouraging high levels of service provision to our customers."

This award is a fitting tribute to all of the effort the network has put into the Motability Scheme this year achieving not only volume growth but also steadily increasing customer satisfaction and rewards accumulated via the MDP programme.
