Paul was brilliant, he really did go above and beyond my expectations to meet my needs as a customer, it was a refreshing change to not have an awful guy pushing and pushing me to buy a car.
Instead Paul made me feel at ease straight away and very welcome, and I could also have a laugh and a joke with him, which was great. I always find I have trouble when I usually do these things by myself as people/men see me as a naive female and try their best to rip me off. I have recently had the pleasure of using VW Huddersfield for the first time, the reason being that I have now moved nearer to Huddersfield than Leeds (where I previously went) and also because Huddersfield has a body shop, and I needed some repairs to my car following a slight bump. Whilst I was discussing these repairs I was aware that Leeds had advised me that my cam belt required changing and at the time I felt this was a big expense, but since realised that it was small compared to what I would encounter should the cam belt break!!
From my initial telephone call to Huddersfield to enquire about bringing in my car for a quote on the damage to collecting my car some 5 days later I received nothing but exemplary service - if only all organisations were the same. My telephone call was efficiently, but friendly dealt with, on arrival at the garage I was met with a friendly smile and immediate service. James checked my car for the work to be done, I waited 10 minutes in which time I had a drink and was spoken to by a very polite cleaner. In the meantime I decided to have my cam belt changed so spoke with Mark Asquith who was again most helpful, saying there was no problem they would do it whilst it was in for the body work repairs and he would liaise with the body shop.
I was offered a courtesy car at no extra charge. I took my car in the following day, again all the same reception greeted me, the courtesy car was ready for me to collect and I was away. I collected my car 4 days later, everything was fine, the car had been valeted and looked like new.

I brought my wife’s Fox in for a service at Huddersfield VW this morning. I received a very cheerful greeting, not just from the guy on Reception, but from everyone who was around. I think this makes all the difference.
When I came to pick up my Audi, it had been cleaned inside and out, which is a very nice touch. Clearly, I can’t tell about the quality of the service itself, but if the other parts of the experience are a barometer, it should have been carried out to a good standard.
The atmosphere in the place is a lot different from what it was when we bought the vehicle a couple of years ago it was a bit of a “whatever” environment before, so it’s nice to see such a change.

I visited your dealership on Saturday the 23rd after my DPF warning light came on whilst driving on Good Friday. Your service staff was very helpful. They appeared to be under pressure while remaining very professional and helpful.
Being over 200 miles from home, I only expected a diagnosis to check if the car was safe enough to drive back home on the bank holiday Monday. Not only did your team diagnose the problem, they also went beyond what was expected by replacing the sensor after collecting a new one from Audi as you had run out.

I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I have been with your service department on my last two (unplanned) visits and to thank them via you.
I was driving to Birmingham in April for a meeting. I had checked my oil but then my car started to do strange things. So I called into your service department. It was a busy Saturday morning but a mechanic had a look immediately and I had left the oil cap off...very embarassing! Everyone was really good humoured and helpful and took a cap off a showroom car to give me for the time being, so I could get to my meeting. Unfortunately I never found my own!! I am sorry but I never got to call and thank you all on that occasion and say that I couldn't find my cap.
Then last week, steam was coming out of my bonnet on the way home from work. I decided I better call in, although there were no lights on and everything appeared to be OK. It was about six o clock by then and everyone in service had officially finished. However, everyone was lovely and a very helpful mechanic came straight out to have a look. He couldn't see anything so he took the car into the workshop to check for leaks. He insisted it wasn't a problem.
I have been really impressed with the customer care at VW and I will mention it to other potential customers.

My only feedback in terms of purchasing my car is positive. I dealt with Matthew Gouldsborough on the purchase of an Eos for which my garage then arranged collection.
I found Matthew polite, helpful, professional and friendly and his replies were prompt which I found particularly helpful – not least as I did not have the opportunity to visit the showroom at all even to see the car initially so I was buying it remotely completely “on trust”. As Matthew wasn’t the person who dealt with the original enquiry from my garage I was pleasantly surprised that he knew exactly who I was and the car in question when I first rang him.
My garage made a point of endorsing Sytner Group when they first told me about the car and I understand they also found the people they spoke to at VW Harrogate helpful and efficient. When it was collected the car was also extremely well valeted.
I am very much enjoying driving the Eos and assuming it lives up to my expectations of long term performance and reliability I would certainly consider buying another Volkswagen in the future and, based on my experience, going through Sytner Group and VW Harrogate in particular.

Hi there, i guess you only get feedback from people who have complaints about the service etc. I'd like buck the trend and briefly mention what an easy, hassle free and friendly experience i had at Sytner today. I booked my Passat in for an MOT through Nicola, initially there wasn't an opening to do the MOT at a convenient time to me, but after a bit of digging Nicola cleared a spot for me. Email and text reminders are a great service too.
Dropping the car off, and later collecting it was fast, efficient and friendly.
I think main dealers get a bad reputation for being overpriced and unbothered with their clients. I'm happy to say that Sytner is neither of these, prices may be a little higher than independent garages, but the expertise and service is well worth paying for in my opinion.

It's always easy to send complaint emails, but I thought you would like my feedback from my visit on Tuesday. Having had a poor experience at JCT in York which I won't bore you with the details of, I decided to call in, in the quest to change my wife's car. Interested in a 1.2 Beetle, I was quickly served by James. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and attentive - without being "The Pushy Car Salesperson". I have arranged to visit on Saturday when my wife and I are both available. I have been a customer in York for years, my recent experience and James's professionalism will probably mean that won't continue.
I run my own business - I am the Golf Professional at Moortown Golf Club, and insist that my staff have a decent product knowledge of our products and hopefully treat our customers in a Professional manner. It is rare to get positive feedback that isn't in a survey form and just wanted you to be aware that my first experience of James is that he is doing a sterling job, on yours and the company's behalf.

One indicator bulb failed on my Golf this morning & since it is foolhardy to travel on the roads, especially in Huddersfield, with faulty indicators I needed an urgent repair. I was able to arrange repair at 2-00 pm whilst I waited, your technician also discussed the state of another bulb in the lamp cluster which showed signs of impending failure & I agreed that it should also be replaced. I would like to express my thanks to your very courteous & helpful staff both on the telephone & in the showroom. I was also surprised to find that I was only charged for the cost of the bulbs.
It certainly makes a change to be pleasantly surprised at the service you provide. I must also mention that the service met the same standards displayed during a visit for an MOT & again for my last service.

They rang when they finished and it was done as they said it would be. It made me happy that I went there.
