Volkswagen is showing off its performance prowess by releasing the 330PS Golf GTI TCR track car and the GTI Clubsport – the most powerful production Golf GTI
The GTI TCR has been bred for the racetrack.
With 18-inch racing wheels, a chassis 40cm wider than that of the production Golf, a striking carbon rear wing and an aerodynamic front splitter.
The car is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo engine used in the Golf R and produces 410Nm of torque.
Volkswagen is also launching the most powerful production Golf GTI Clubsport in 2016.
The Clubsport’s 2.0-litre TFSI engine generates 265PS – that’s 35PS more than its predecessor. The car also has a boost function that allows the driver to briefly increase the engine power to 290PS and is due to make its UK showroom debut later this year.
