And there is so much more to come...
Skipton Volkswagen is very proud of their staff retention record and are currently celebrating the long standing success of their technical team
Our Master technician Neil Whitaker has clocked up over 40 years of technical experience, whilst supporting Skipton Volkswagen for the last 18 years. Neil started as an apprentice in Skipton on the iconic Beetle! Swapping four wheels for two, motor & trail biking events keep him busy at weekends, whilst also supporting local charities during the recent Bronte Mountain Bike Challenge. Well done Neil.
Darren Hudson has been with the Volkswagen Brand now for over 2 decades and will be a very familiar face with the locals. Having been Service Manager at Skipton Volkswagen for the last 12 years, Darren and his team have enjoyed the success of winning Volkswagens National Quality Award 4 out of 5 recent years for Customer Satisfaction. Family man Darren loves cycling, "its great way to keep fit whilst enjoying our amazing areas of outstanding natural beauty".
Robin Sanderson was the very first technician employed at the dealership some 25 years ago and has had the pleasure of working on almost the entire Volkswagen range. His 35 years of technical experience culminates in his certificate of Advanced Auto Engineering (AMIMI)SOE. LCGI. So you know your vehicle will be in very safe hands. Robin's technical prowess has also been recognised further afield, as he has been a judge for Young Engineering Inspirations, whilst in his spare time, being a steam railway enthusiast demonstrates his passion for all that is mechanical runs deep in his veins.
And introducing our newest member of the team...
Congratulations to Sam Hollingworth, who has recently achieved his Service Technician Qualification with Volkswagen UK. San decided to become a technician upon leaving school and has never looked back.
As a member of the Yorkshire young farmers’ federation, Sam is keen to support his local area in more ways than one. Darren Hudson commented "Sam is a great young chap, a perfect roll model for our new apprentices now and in the future".
This level of consistency undoubtedly has helped to promote a strong, trusting relationship between the staff and their valued customers, so It's no wonder that loyal customers return year after year in the comfort of knowing the same friendly faces will be there to welcome them.
