Mercedes-Benz of Bristol 3 peaks team...they're off!
The Mercedes-Benz of Bristol 3 peaks team set off early this morning...
The Mercedes-Benz of Bristol 3 peaks team left their Cribbs Causeway showroom at 6.30am today to start the first part of their 3 peaks challenge.
The first of the peaks is Ben Nevis in Scotland, followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake District and lastly Snowdon in Wales.
All three mountains will be tackled in just 24 hours, and is an arduous 40 kilometre trek that will include 2,984 metres of testing ascent and descent.
Between the climbs the team will be travelling more than 1250 miles in a pair of Mercedes-Benz of Bristol demonstrator vehicles that have been adorned with eye-catching 3 peaks liveries to promote the fundraiser.
The task is all in aid of the St Peters Hospice and the Bristol Children's Hospital. Dealer Principal of Mercedes-Benz of Bristol, Paul Sperring said "St Peter's Hospice and Bristol Children's Hospital are two charities that are close to the hearts of staff at Mercedes-Benz of Bristol and everyone involved in our Three Peaks Challenge is wholeheartedly committed to raising as much as possible for them".
