Alex Matschy from Guy Salmon Land Rover Portsmouth supports Deep Learning Day at Mayfield School

This month, Alex Matschy, Dealer principal at Guy Salmon Portsmouth, visited Mayfield School in North End to partake in their ‘Deep Learning Day’.

 The day was put together for students from each year group to take part in a range of activities to promote learning and broaden their knowledge of areas not always associated with their day to day curriculum.

Alex Matschy was asked by the school to participate in the day by carrying out mock interviews.  A majority of the students had not experienced an interview before so this task was designed for them to gain practical experience and to understand what potential employers look for in an applicant. Alex then had the opportunity to give valuable feedback to each student on their interview technique and grade them on how well they did.

Alex was delighted to be involved in the day and said “ I had an enjoyable day at Mayfield School and the students were keen and enthusiastic to partake in the day.  I hope the day has helped them prepare for their futures”.
