Mercedes-Benz of Swindon makes ‘nighty’ fine gesture for Children in Need.

They might be wearing pyjamas but there is certainly no rest for staff at Mercedes-Benz of Swindon in their efforts to support worthy causes.

To support the BBC’s Children in Need appeal, employees at the Drakes Way dealership organised a pyjama party - a ‘dressing gown day’ rather than a ‘dressing down day’.

Staff were delighted to make a small donation to the charity for the privilege of donning an assortment of nightwear, with the total further boosted by the generosity of customers as well as several other initiatives that included home make cakes and hot chocolate drinks.

It has been a busy few weeks on the fund-raising front for Mercedes-Benz of Swindon, which has been heavily involved in an auction of sporting memorabilia in aid of Help for Heroes through the RAF at Lyneham and also supported The Rainbow Trust and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

“Seeing our sales team in pyjamas instead of their usual business suits could have been a nightmare for some customers but all were very supportive of the fun and our fund-raising intentions,” explained Mike Fellows, Mercedes-Benz of Swindon’s Managing Director.
