Gatwick Honda's Dealer Principal Trains For His 10th London Marathon - Update 10th Marathon Completed!

Gatwick Honda's Dealer Principal, Martin White, Trains For His 10th London Marathon - UPDATE 10th Marathon Completed! See Below For Details

Martin is committed to raise £1500 for St Catherine's Hospice and is running with his partner Sue. This will be Martin's 10th London Marathon and Sue's 3rd.  

They are both aiming for a time of sub 4 hours 30 minutes this time round although Martin's fastest time is 3 hours 28 minutes. (His first marathon was completed in 5 hours 35 minutes)  

At this stage the training schedule should include running 4 times a week but they are currently running 10 miles on Saturday & 6 miles on Sunday   The training schedule also includes the Brighton Half Marathon in a few weeks, then one in Silverstone plus hopefully one other half marathon.  

Martin & Sue need to have completed a 22 mile run a couple of weeks before big day on the 22nd April.  

St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers.

8th March Update:  With just over a month to go, our Gatwick Dealer Principal has now completed the Brighton Half Marathon and is taking part in the Silverstone Half Marathon this weekend. Martin is trying to run 20 - 30 miles per week and hopes to put in a 23 mile run before the big day. 13th April Update: While most of us where eating our Easter Eggs last week, Martin spent his time pounding the streets doing his final preparation for the big day with another 33 miles done. 25th April: Congratulations to Martin our Gatwick Dealer Principal on completing his 10th London Marathon. Martin says, " I finished in 4hrs 38. It was very hot and very crowded. It took 15 minutes to cross start line and I was beaten by a Rhino!! Although two minutes slower than last year, it was some 3,300 places better and 1195 in age group"
