GUY SALMON LAND ROVER THAMES DITTON ARE DELIGHTED TO SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITY 'SOSSEN'.

Guy Salmon Thames Ditton – Delighted to Support 'SOS!SEN'

with their 3 Peaks Challenge!

Guy Salmon Thames Ditton considers itself an important member of the community, therefore when one of our customers told us about their involvement with the local charity 'SOS!SEN' and the fantastic work they do we were delighted to be involved.

'SOS!SEN' provides an independent helpline for parents who have children with special educational needs. They are based locally in Twickenham and since starting the organisation in 2002 they have given advice to over 10,000 parents. The organisation which is dependant on donations were delighted when a group of local guys got together and decided to put a fund raiser together by climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon which are also known as the 3 Peaks, which are the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

When we heard about the 3 Peaks Challenge we were only too happy to see what we could do to help. The guys needed a vehicle to travel to the foot of each the 3 mountains and we had the perfect solution. We provided them with a Land Rover Discovery, a vehicle equipped with Land Rover Terrain Response and the latest creature comforts.

The intrepid climbers successfully completed the 3 Peaks challenge in the allotted 24 hours.  So far, the boys have raised over £4,000 and are indebted to all those who have sponsored them.Martin Dean, the driver and SOS!SEN's Treasurer, commented - "This is such a marvellous achievement and I am so proud of the lads for doing this solely for the Charity. This is going to make a massive difference to so many children, who we will now be able to provide much needed support, we are eternally grateful to Guy Salmon for the use of their Land Rover Discovery, without which travelling between the Peaks would have been impossible ".
