Walton High Deliver Dynamic Photo Call For Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes

Imge of students involved in competition

Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes invited year 9, 14 year old photographic students, from nearby Walton High School, into their iconic showroom a month ago to take part in a Photographic Competition arranged locally by the MK retailer. The brief was to capture the dynamics of the Mercedes-Benz brand in the glamorous MK showroom using digital cameras, under the guidance of Anne Toole from Annalise Photographers a local MK company providing regular support to the school.

Fourteen students took part in the challenging and exciting activity day, culminating in a judging and awards presentation in front of retailer staff, parents and teachers last Wednesday. The Judges included Andy Handley Chief Photographer from MK News, Anne Toole, and Retailer MD Warren Brearley.

MD Warren Brearley said,” We had a fantastic day with the students during the photo session and the body of work produced is certainly good enough for the pages of the major motoring magazines. There was a huge amount of creativity shown in every picture, but there can only be one winner and Joe Kirby captured the very essence of the incredible £168,000.00 ‘gullwing’ Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a fantastic achievement.”

Joe was presented with a Sony SLR camera complete with a range of accessories and camera bag, in addition to a special edition certificate of achievement. All the students taking part received a certificate and a bag of motoring goodies from the retailer.

The ‘Picture Gallery’ of work will remain in Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes Kingston showroom for public view until 1st April.
