Hair today, gone tomorrow at Mercedes-Benz of Swindon
Mercedes-Benz of Swindon’s support of Movember’s Everyman Male Cancer Campaign has proved to be a very successful ‘fund-razor’.
Members of staff at the Drakes Way retailer grew a variety of beards and moustaches throughout November and their ‘toil and stubble’ proved well worth it as they raised over £1,000 for the charity.
Sporting the best facial growth, Technician Mike Jones’ handlebar moustache and goatee combination won him a professional wet shave – a prize that most of his colleagues were eager to win. Apart from Sales Trainee Ben Pulham, who is retaining his beard, the rest of the Mercedes-Benz of Swindon team have already returned to their normal clean-cut appearance.
“Everyone really entered into the spirit of Movember,” said Managing Director Mike Fellows. “Sales Executive Ken Morgan already sported a beard but shaved it off and started again, whilst there was an unusual induction for the newest addition to our sales team, Richard Piper, who joined in after being recruited midway through the month.
“Customers have been very supportive with their donations but our reception team are probably the most pleased that Movember is over as they won’t have to take any more calls from people asking to be put through to the ‘nice man with the beard’.”
Well done to the Fan-tache-tic members of the Mercedes-Benz of Swindon team who supported Movember!
