Technicians Raise Servicing Standards at Guy Salmon Portsmouth
Two Land Rover technicians from Portsmouth have become part of a ground breaking nationwide initiative to raise standards of car servicing and repair by testing the current competence of Vehicle technicians.
Jim Gray and John Abinett, service technicians at Guy Salmon Land Rover, North Harbour, Portsmouth both took part in the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA), a voluntary scheme which proves a technicians competence, giving peace of mind to customers as well as raising professional status and credibility of skilled individuals and their business.
Jim said "Both John and I are extremely proud to be rewarded with this accreditation, it took a lot of hard work but I believe it shows that we are committed to high quality at Portsmouth Land Rover"
To achieve the accreditation, Jim and John had to sign a code of conduct and them pass a number of complex practical tasks and an online knowledge test.
