In 2002 Sytner Group was purchased by Penske Automotive Group (formerly UAG); a major player in the American retail motor industry.

In addition to being a successful businessman, PAG Chairman Roger Penske was no stranger to the world of motor racing. As the owner of Indy 500 Champions Penske Racing and a former racing driver, Roger shared a motorsport connection with Frank Sytner as well as similar business ethics.

BRISTOL, Tenn.  (August 25, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished 30th in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Saturday night. For the second-consecutive night at BMS, Keselowski was involved in an incident that forced the team several laps down and out of contention.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (August 24, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire/SKF Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), finished 32nd in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Friday night. The former BMS winner was involved in an incident at lap 26 that resulted in him losing multiple laps to the leaders while repairs were made to his damaged Dodge Challenger.

BROOKLYN, Mich.  (August 19, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished second in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) on Sunday afternoon. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native raced at the front of the field for most of the day and had a shot to win at the end, but he couldn’t hold off eventual race winner, Greg Biffle, on the final race restart.

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y.  (August 12, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished second in the Finger Lakes 355 at the Glen at Watkins Glen International (WGI) on Sunday afternoon. In what proved to be almost a carbon copy of last year’s event at WGI, Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Marcos Ambrose battled for the win at the end of the race. The three raced each other hard over the final laps in what is sure to be one of the best finishes of the year. In the end, Ambrose was able to capture the checkered flag as Keselowski completed a strong runner-up weekend that also saw him finish second in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at WGI.

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (August 11, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire/SKF Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), finished second in the Zippo 200 at the Glen at Watkins Glen International (WGI) on Saturday afternoon. Keselowski dominated much of the event – leading a race-high 44 laps – but he was unable to hold off Carl Edwards on a late-race restart for what would have been a third-consecutive NNS victory.

LONG POND, Pa.  (August 5, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished fourth in the Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Keselowski and crew chief Paul Wolfe used excellent pit strategy to place the team at the front of the field – eventually leading a total of eight laps – before severe thunderstorms ended the race prematurely with 98 laps completed.

Sonoma, Calif.  (June 24, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished 12th in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma (formerly Infineon Raceway) on Sunday afternoon. Keselowski recovered from an early stumble as the Miller Lite Dodge stalled as he was leaving his pit box on the first stop of the race, which dropped him back in the running order and ultimately kept him from contending for a third-consecutive top-10 finish on a road course.

The driver of the “Blue Deuce” overcame pit-lane speed penalties and power issues to score an 18th-place finish to move into the top-10 in points.

Late in the race it seemed Keselowski had a car that could contend for a top-five finish, but the Miller Lite Dodge faded over the final 100 laps of the event.

(June 2, 2012) – Parker Kligerman, driver of the No. 22 Snap-on Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), finished 12th in the 5-Hour Energy 200 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday afternoon. After losing a lap early in the event, Kligerman and the team fought hard to stay in position for a “Lucky Dog” award, but could not get the breaks needed to finish the race on the lead lap.

CONCORD, N.C.  (May 27, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the Penske Racing No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished fifth in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) on Sunday night. He and the Miller Lite team displayed great resilience as they had to overcome a pit road speeding penalty and an incident on pit lane to record their fourth top-five finish of 2012.

(May 26, 2012) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), picked up his first win of the 2012 season – the 18th of his NNS career – in the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) on Saturday afternoon. Keselowski stretched his last tank of fuel over the final 73 laps of the event to give crew chief Jeremy Bullins his first career win.

The No. 2 Miller-sponsored car has visited Victory Lane 50 times in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition, with 37 of those wins coming with Rusty Wallace behind the wheel. Wallace drove Penske Racing’s No. 2 from 1991-2005. His most-successful season came in 1993 when he picked up a series-leading 10 wins.

NEWTON, Iowa (May 20, 2012) – Parker Kligerman, driver of the Penske Racing No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger, finished in the eighth position after Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 at Iowa Speedway. This marked Kilgerman’s first NNS race of the 2012 season and his first of multiple appearances in the Discount Tire/Snap-On Dodge Challenger.

The reigning Nationwide Series champion had to endure a wild finish that saw the race extended by six laps before he picked up his 12th top-10 finish of 2011.

Good Sour Cream Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday afternoon. A promising start to the event – Keselowski passed 15 cars over the first two laps – was derailed after the Penske Racing driver and Michigan native cut down a right front tire following contact with the outside wall.

LONG POND, Pa. (June 12, 2011) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), finished 23rd in the 5-Hour Energy 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon. A broken left rear shock mount suffered in the first half of the race kept Keselowski from capitalizing on a car that, at times, looked to be capable of a top-five finish.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 5, 2011) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), earned a hard-fought victory in the STP 400 at Kansas Speedway (CMS) on Sunday afternoon. Keselowski and crew chief, Paul Wolfe, executed a perfect fuel strategy over the final 20 laps to secure the win. The result represented Keselowski’s second career NSCS win and first with Penske Racing, following his victory at Talladega Superspeedway in April of 2009.

(June 4, 2011) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), finished 30th in the STP 300 at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday night. Keselowski appeared to have a car that was capable of finishing in the top-five before engine issues on lap 139 forced him to an early exit.

(November 14, 2010 ) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Cup Series, finished 42nd in the Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) on Sunday afternoon. Keselowski displayed one of the fastest cars on the track before he suffered a blown right front tire on lap 59 that resulted in heavy contact with the outside wall. The Penske Dodge crew attempted to make the necessary repairs to get Keselowski back on track but the damage to the No. 12 car was just too severe.
